The Twentieth Congress of the International Federation of Infection Control (IFIC2020) will take place on 11-15 March 2020 in Belgrade, Serbia. The official language of the congress is English, while the plenary sessions and one parallel session will offer simultaneous interpretation to Serbian.
During IFIC2020 COMBACTE will be holding several presentations (amongst which COMBACTE-NET, COMBACTE-CARE, LAB-Net). More information will follow once there is more information about the program. Dr. Biljana Carevic, COMBACTE’s Serbian National Coordinator and Dr. Tomislav Kostyanev from the LAB-Net team will be coordinating COMBACTE’s presence at the congress.
IFIC2020 will provide up to date infection prevention and control topics, a mix of plenary and concurrent sessions, and presentations from international experts, with some sessions offered by our member societies. IFIC will continue to include opportunities for attending workshops, with topics presented in a comprehensive, participative format, allowing for open discussion and exploration of issues, and the practical application of in-depth material. With this mix of detailed, contemporary content, along with traditional sessions of cutting edge infection prevention and control content, we have planned a conference that will be of interest to anyone in our professional field.
IFIC2020 will guarantee an outstanding educational experience for a multi-disciplinary delegate mix from medical, nursing and other backgrounds. This will be achieved through a combination of symposia and state-of-the-art lectures running concurrently with small group workshops as well as keypad interactive sessions. This will provide a different, more personalized educational experience for the delegates.
IFIC conferences are recognized as venues for effective networking and sharing of ideas. Delegates will also have an extensive opportunity to share their research and experience through oral as well as poster presentations. The academic program will be regularly updated on the congress website.
