Looking Back on ECCMID 2016

ECCMID 2016 ended with a record breaking total of 11,614 participants from 120 different countries. It is recognized by academia and the industry as the largest European congress for the presentation, discussion and networking of research in the field’s infection and microbiology.  The top five participating countries were the UK, The Netherlands, USA, Finland and Denmark.

The congress featured more than 380 sessions covering the entire field of infectious diseases and clinical microbiology, including 11 keynote lectures, over a 10 symposia and oral sessions, 20 educational workshops and 20 meet-the-expert sessions. It also offered attendees 26 integrated symposia and 160 exhibitors this year. More than 5,000 abstracts were presented.

This year the hosting country of the 26th European Congress of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases was Amsterdam, The Netherlands at the  RAI. COMBACTE was represented as 1 of the 160 booths in the exposition area with  booth number 37A, to answer your questions and for a meet an great and held a COMBACTE Investigators lunch meeting on the Sunday.
