Online GCP Training: COMBACTE Collaborates with ECCRT

After a strict selection procedure, COMBACTE is pleased to launch the new online Good Clinical Practice (GCP) course. The course is provided through the European Centre for Clinical Research Training (ECCRT).

COMBACTE’s CLIN-Net aims to develop, train and maintain a European network of fully capable and Good Clinical Practice (GCP)-compliant clinical investigation sites, with ample expertise and experience in designing and executing diagnostic, preventive and therapeutic clinical trials in the field of infectious diseases and antimicrobial resistance.

Regulatory requirements are similar in all countries. However, not all sites are equally experienced in performing clinical trials related to antibiotic resistance.

The training offers practical guidance to optimize the often-so-difficult recruitment of patients to support the performance of investigators in clinical trials.

ECCRT is a professional clinical research training provider focusing on the transfer of implementable knowledge for the day-to-day activities of our participants whether being new to the industry, starters on the job, or seasoned professionals. The company has been providing training to over 12,000 people.

The COMBACTE online GCP training is provided on the ECCRT virtual campus. It is free of charge for COMBACTE members.

The GCP training meets the Minimum Criteria for ICH GCP Investigator Site Personnel Training identified by “TransCelerate BioPharma” as necessary to enable mutual recognition of GCP training among trial sponsors. The training is complete and up to date, including the ICH-GCP E6 (R2) Addendum 2016.

The training allows participants to understand the responsibilities of everyone involved in clinical research. It teaches about the conduct, performance, monitoring and reporting of a clinical trial using interactive quizzes and exercises for self-assessment. Participants’ knowledge on GCP will be tested with a final exam.

A trainer from ECCRT is available to discuss questions with participants.

The course takes approximately 7 hours. Participants can start and stop the course at any time and will have 3 months after registration to complete the course. Upon successfully completing the course, an official GCP certificate can be downloaded.
